As part of the first-ever Sydney Magic Festival, JD’s World of Magic brings award-winning magician Joel to The Regent Theatre in Richmond for an intimate, family-friendly show featuring world-class sleight of hand, classical magic and plenty of audience participation.

2. School Holiday Craft Club at Artfulness

🎨 Looking for a fun, screen-free morning these school holidays? This creative Craft Camp for children aged 5–12 features hands-on painting, mosaics, sculpting and creative play. With all materials supplied, kids can enjoy a morning of creativity and take home their own beautiful handmade creations. Places are limited to just 8 children, creating a relaxed, small-group experience.

⛳ There’s plenty happening at Lynwood Golf & Country Club these school holidays! Kids can enjoy a complimentary round of Putt with the Police, playing mini golf alongside local police officers for a bit of friendly competition and plenty of laughs, or grab their dabbers for Kids Bingo Blast, with eight games and loads of prizes up for grabs. 🎣Looking for something a little different these school holidays? Yorkie’s Fishing Adventures offers a full day of fishing and outdoor fun for ages 10–90, with everything supplied except food and drinks. Kids can be dropped off for the day, or parents can join them, pack a picnic and enjoy a family day out in nature. Sessions run from approximately 9:45am–3pm and cost $75 per person, with school holiday sessions on 28 September and 1, 5 & 8 October, plus dedicated family days on 3 & 10 October. Bookings are essential and these sessions fill quickly and be warned, apparently fishing with Yorkie can be very addictive!

🌱 Perfect for little nature lovers! 🌿 Kids aged 5–12 years can join a guided adventure through the Botanic Garden to discover some of the animals that call it home, including the often-overlooked creatures hiding beneath the water through a hands-on dip-netting activity. Along the way, they’ll learn why gardens and green spaces are so important for local wildlife, before planting their very own native plant to take home and help make their backyard or balcony a little more wildlife-friendly.
