Tucked away down a quiet side street in North Richmond, a visit to Gypsy Fox Brewing Co. feels like you’re discovering hidden treasure. It’s an unpretentious microbrewery that serves up some truly incredible craft beers.
What Makes Gypsy Fox Special?
What I love most about Gypsy Fox is its genuine, country vibe. It’s all about quality beers made right on-site, with twelve taps offering a little something for everyone — from bold IPAs to lighter, crisp lagers. You’re bound to find a favourite (or maybe a few).
While you’re there you’ll probably run into Liam, the Brewmaster himself, behind the bar. There’s something special about the place, and it’s clear that everyone is passionate about supporting Liam on his brewing journey. There’s a real sense of community here and it really adds to the overall experience.
As for my personal recommendation, it’s the Pina Colada beer. Yes, you read that right — it’s a thing, and it pairs perfectly with the amazing laksa from 8 Things, one of their regular food trucks.
Food Trucks at Gypsy Fox Brewing Co
The food trucks are another highlight of the weekend. Every Friday and Saturday, Gypsy Fox hosts a rotating selection of trucks offering everything from wood-fired pizzas and dumplings to slow-cooked meats and burgers. But for my family, the standout is always 8 Things and their incredible laksa. It’s the kind of dish you’ll crave long after you’ve finished, and trust me, the kids will devour the shoestring fries so quickly, you’ll probably have to order seconds like we do!
Food trucks rotate, so make sure to check out the schedule to plan your visit: Gypsy Fox Food Trucks.
